Really like the Africa Unsigned model there, but I’m wondering why did he start with Africa? Hey Pim if you read this, I’d love to know why – thanks :)

  2. Pim Says:

    Hi Mark,
The idea for Africa Unsigned was born in Jamaica when a taxi driver started singing to me. I loved his sound and asked him to join SellaBand. He replied that he couldn’t due to a lack of internet access and recording facilities. His reaction made me think about the huge amount of artists in developing countries that are facing this same simple barrier. In stead of focusing only on Jamaica I wanted to start with Africa, the mother of music, with a huge diversity of top quality music from 54 countries.

Thanks for clearing that up Pim, its a great project – good luck for the future.
