Because what you are asking is basically for photographers to give you their image for free (the bit with love, link etc. is a bit irrelevant for a photographer that's running a business). I know nobody is forcing any photographer to give you an image, but the problem is more and more magazines are doing the same thing you are doing and that makes it difficult for photographers.
