TWMMF Event Roundup

The Web Makes Me Feel

Well, wasn’t it a good one?

(GBR) A big thank you from everyone at MediaSnackers to everyone that joined us, we really appreciate the time and effort you took out of your evening.

From a good idea a few months ago to fruition on Wednesday, we’ve thrown artwork to and fro, debated the whole point of the thewebmakesmefeel.com project, got shouted down, amped back up, spent a lot of money, chased a lot of people, licked a lot of stamps, bitten a lot of finger nails and pulled out some hair—and not just me, everyone involved in the project, DK, Matt, Barney, Bobbie, Kelly, Jess, Emily, Matt & Roland. Whatever stage people became involved, you’re all a piece of the puzzle that wouldn’t have worked so well if you hadn’t played a part.

The videos have been edited, crunched and dropped online for you to view below. Two edits for you, first your answers to how you feel about the web, and secondly about the project itself and the value of emotional data.

TWMMF isn’t all about us, its all about you too, and thats why we’ve enlisted the skills of Dr Kelly Page to put together a report on the findings of the project available for purchase and download. Please download the free executive summary for an idea of what the report contains. Then share, discuss, blog and tweet on the topic – we’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

The project doesn’t end here, as I still have around 500 handwritten postcards from 13-19yr olds looking for a home. I’ll scan them all firstly, PDF and / or eBook them for sure, however what next? I don’t want to throw these things away. What can we do with them? Maybe we could bury them in a timecapsule? Add your suggestions in the comments.

Also check out the photos from the day, on our Flickr set to really get a flavour of what you were involved in (or missed).

A big chunk of our thanks has to go to you lot, the people who visited, talked about the project, got enthused about the subject, tweeted the messages and blogged the articles. We’ll be keeping an eye on people blogging and mentioning the project and adding them to the Event page of the twmmf website, but if we miss any, drop us a comment and we’ll add you in.
