Proper Clever : Part Two

Time to deliver.

(WORLD) For the past couple of days the MediaSnackers team have been at Liverpools Everyman and Playhouse theatre and arts venue delivering upon our strategy for integrating social media into a specific youth production entitled, Proper Clever.

Here's what we're doing:

  • dynamic web prescence : launching a specific weblog for the production packed already with insights, slideshows and video interviews (more to come). We trained up some of the staff so they can post ‘behind-the-scenes’ stuff and also created some young digital journalists to cover several nights of the three week run;
  • virtual hotseating : actors from the play will meet online (in character) for a virtual session of questions and answers;
  • mobile vouchers : snacksize mobile movies which, when shown at the box office, will give a reduced ticket rate. Propagated via bluetooth (so doesn't cost anything to send or receive) through the members of the theatres youth theatre and forum plus the digital journalists and other staff (you can also drop into the box office to pick one up).

There have been many challenges with this gig regarding time, infrastructure, technology and access but the theatre are comitted to use this specific part of the production as an impetus to their greater use of social media in all their operations.
