Happy Birthday MediaSnackers

All together now…
(WORLD) …happy birthday to us …happy birthday to us …happy birthday dear MediaSnackers …happy birthday to us!
Woo hoo—one year old today—wow!
It’s customary at points such as these to look back at achievements and the journey but we prefer to take a glance: MediaSnackers was started on a throw-away conversation, grown through a fun attitude and more importantly a very fluid business plan to match the area we focus/operate on/in. In one year we’ve established a healthy profile in terms of unique visitors to the site (40,000+ a month), a beefy subscriber list for our monthly email digests (2,400+), posted a hell of a lot of weblog entries (360+), completed and gone live with a sack of podcasts (80+) and vodcasts (6), developed and delivered a bunch of kick-ass training sessions (20+) plus snagged a few speaking/consultancy gigs…
(Getting personal) I’m smiling when I think about these humble achievements, how the MediaSnackers family has started to grow, the other plans organically taking shape, how some people make us blush writing nice things about what we do (more on our training page) and how totally fresh this all feels, like it’s the start…
I guess these small successes stem from two simple mantras which I hold dear:
Nothing great was ever done alone!
Albert Einstein
If it wasn’t for my family, friends, colleagues, associates, people serving cease-and-desist orders, the praise, the opportunities, the criticisms, the experiences, individual challenging and stretching ideas and possibilities—thank you, every one of you have added to the richness of experience in this last year.
And the second:
Everything we do must be kick-ass!
Me, (DK, MediaSnackers Founder
Like I said, it feels like a beginning and I want to take this opportunity to name and thank the team here: Mark, you are an amazing training guru, zen-guide and idea-stretcher; Emily and Jess, you add fantastic energy plus your voices to our operations (good luck in the exams); Lee, for taking a chance and getting involved, you’re bringing more than your aware of to the table; our new guy, Barney, for having a vision and providing the inspiration to widen our horizons; last but not least ‘g’, you had the experience to see the possibilities and a big enough boot to get me going—thank you all guys!
Happy Birthday us!
